I'm building PRPM (Prompt Package Manager) - an npm-like CLI for distributing rules, skills, agents, commands, and AI coding tool configurations across all platforms. The agents you've added here are fantastic, and I've curated some to add to the initial list of agents available on prpm.dev, making you a top 5 author in the community!

What is PRPM?

Instead of manually copying agents from GitHub, users can now install them with one command:

# Install an agent
prpm install @wshobson/code-documentation

# Publish your own
prpm publish

# Search for agents
prpm search "coding assistant"

Your agents are currently available on PRPM, but I'd love to help you claim them and take full control.

Why This Matters

1. Cross-Platform Distribution

Your [agents].md files automatically work across all tools:

• Claude Code (skills)
• Cursor (rules)
• Continue (config)
• Windsurf (rules)
• GitHub Copilot (instructions)

Publish once, reach users everywhere. No manual conversions needed.

2. Easy Installation & Updates

Right now users copy/paste from GitHub or have to manually discover your marketplace. With PRPM:

• One-line install via CLI
• Semantic versioning for updates
• Dependency management
• Version control and rollback

3. Discovery & Visibility

• Central registry for users to discover quality agents
• Search by functionality, platform, or category
• Download stats and usage metrics
• Verified creator badges

4. Credit & Attribution

• Your GitHub profile linked to all packages
• Track downloads and popularity
• Build your reputation in the AI tools space
• Verified authorship

5. Future: Revenue Sharing

We're planning to introduce paid packages with revenue sharing for authors. Early verified creators will have first access to monetization features, letting you earn from your high-quality agents.

6. Complementary to Plugin Marketplaces

PRPM isn't competing with Claude's plugin marketplace — we're complementary:

• PRPM: Distributes AI knowledge (instructions, rules, context) as portable text files
• Plugin Marketplaces: Distribute tool extensions (MCP servers, commands, integrations)

Your agents on PRPM reach users across all platforms (Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, Continue, Copilot), while a Claude marketplace plugin only reaches Claude users. Read more about the difference.

2. Weigh in on sync strategies - Help us design the best way to keep your packages up to date - worth noting that prpm also supports publishing via an existing marketplace.json file already
3. Publish new agents - Any new agents you create can be published directly via CLI

Thanks for reaching out about PRPM! It looks like an interesting project, and I appreciate you thinking of this repository.

However, since my repository is built specifically for Claude Code's native plugin architecture, and my users already have seamless one-line installation via /plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents, I'm going to hold off for now.

I'll keep an eye on PRPM's progress, and if it proves stable and gains significant adoption, I'd be happy to revisit. Best of luck with the project!

Completely understand and makes sense, thanks for explaining your rationale.

I'm working on adding in some tooling and infrastructure to assist with testing agents, skills, etc that might be interesting for you. I'll post back here once that is live if you don't mind. Would love any feedback if you have a moment. Should be launching next week.
