[BUG]: V2 Imager requires root to start, does not show a root password confirmation

What happened?

Trying to launch the V2 Imager requires to be started with root, and does not spawn a root password confirmation window.

Running the rpi-imager from the cli shows the error that it was run without root, then the only option is to exit

to run the installer, I had to run sudo -E rpi-imager

Note that spawning a GUI to elevate to root doesn't need to be the only solution either

While I get that it's easier to just tell people to run the imager with sudo, I much prefer chowning the storage medium instead. It's possible to write to storage media without absolute root privileges, therefore I think it's bad design to flatout refuse to run without them.

Running into the same problem. Could it not ask for authentication, like Gparted for instance does?
