Faulty minification of base64 encoded content

Bootstrap uses Base64 Encoded Images in it's CSS. When minifying it, jekyll-minifier removes all spaces and hence corrupts the image.

Thanks for reporting this issue. This should be working correctly with the CSS minification library (cssminify2 v2.1.0+) which handles base64 encoded content properly. The library preserves data URIs including base64 encoded images.

If you're still experiencing this issue with the latest version (v0.2.2), please provide a minimal reproducible example so we can investigate further. Make sure you're using the latest version of the gem with:

gem update jekyll-minifier

The CSS minifier should automatically detect and preserve data URIs in CSS content.
