Subtitle language in filename?

Any chance I can use the CLI to create a .en.srt file instead of just .srt?

I can do it from the webUI by adding it to the filename manually but I was hoping to use the CLI via a script. File suffix doesn't work as it adds a dash. Perhaps an "add language" option so it'll auto detect the language you are translating or transcribing and add the code?

Great point @jacobkossman, the output suffix option was intended for this kind of use case. I’ve removed the hardcoded dash (it shouldn’t have been there in the first place), so now you can use it to add a .en before the .srt extension. Thanks for pointing that out!

Thanks, that works great for me since it'll always be english. I'm sure for other people it might be nice to have an option to automatically add the language name to the file via an option?

Thanks for the suggestion, it makes sense and would be easy to support for translation, since the target language is provided by the user at runtime.

For transcription though, it's a bit trickier. Not all models expose the detected language, and unless the user specifies it in the model config, we don’t always have that info. In those cases, using --output-suffix remains the most reliable way to control the filename.

Appreciate the idea, it's definitely something to keep in mind.
